Where did you get the inspiration to make this?

__________
Surely it wasn't because I asked you about Mermaids (in account to the Christmas Announcement).

But Overall...all I did was contribute one piece of art-work. But thanks for waiting for me.
__________

I gotta say...Monsters...are pretty cool to look at.

You might find yourself horrified by the very sight of them, yet at the same time...completely mesmerized by the sheer complexity or intricacy of the very mind of the artist.

Many of the art work YOU did DC...were by far...some of the most obscene, intriguing, and bizarre creatures I had EVER had the privilege to lay eyes on.

The monster I choose was the mummy. For some reason...I find the idea that a monster constantly bothering you is like how your life is...

You find yourself doing something you need to do but you don't do it...and the mummy wakes up to constantly pester you about your lack of accomplishments.

The mummy is personification of well..."Procrastination"

The "Unwillingness" to achieve, rectify, and seek to make things right in your life...or for the life of someone else.

I always thought that be the case for mummies...
__________

Review (Very WELL organized)

Though the text for the title of each monster and chapter was creative and stylish...it was also very hard to read.

But that differs from the point that the test adds the correct flare to the

"Book of Monsters".

Very GOOD Music. Matches perfectly.
__________

The "Book of Monsters"

The every day journal from famous explorers, and makers of their own death.
Learn Valuable information about creatures you may encounter.

__________

Book Review (5/5 stars) - a highly recommend read.

"It is not horrific looks that determines a monster...

For a human to call a creature that (he fears and cannot understand)...a "monster"....is a sign of ignorance and prejudice.

Hopefully this book will shed some light to "misunderstood" creatures that live with us. What to be aware of...and beware of...

For Cruelty...is the Core Truth...of a REAL monster.
Not how many heads it has.
For a Cruel Human...only has one head.

I suppose i'm a mummy myself, thanks for the very insightful review jak :-D

VERY IMPRESSIVE

It gives me a chance to really know how much people love this website.

It inspires me.

thanks for the awesome game.

Game play review:

It feels just like "Castle Crashing the Beard" only with the ability to move freely along the stage. (a nice bonus)

The only thing that I felt was a bit unnecessary was the fact that regaining health took an animation sequence that occurs during the battle. Which in times of crisis can throw your focus off.

I have yet to explore all the features but hopefully there will be a "Survival" mode programed in the game.

Great BEAT-EM-UP. My favorite kind of game.

Nothing is really bothering me about the game in comparison to how great the game actually is.

A Perfect 10 in my eyes.

AW-Some dudes

Thanks to whoever added the little "crown" on my name.

Nice Touch.

Thanks once again for choosing me for this year. I really should allow someone else to take next year. But thanks for choosing me for this year. If I get a chance to do 2009...I'll definitely try even better Work. Seeing others work has gotten me very excited about art again!

WOW....allot of AMAZING ARTWORK!

Newgrounds is the Birthplace of the Collab and AWESOME stuff like this.

Groovin' Tunes Too.

Wonderful!

A great game representing Polynesian Power

New Zealand has awesome tribal music...
And it fits the theme of the game...spears...fish...
A cultural twist on Shooter Games.

Mahalo Dude

This game deserves some spotlight

At least P-Bot's Daily Winner's Chart.

The Game is Truthful...and a bit Sadistic...but in the end... it delivers the correct message quite nicely.

Mamma is nice...and wouldn't hurt animals

This Game had BETTER NOT be pulled off the web.

For copyright infringement whatever

And it might just get some News Time on Fox News to bash it...(cough-Losers)

This Game is an obvious Parody and shouldn't be taken off the web. And it delivers the TRUTH about Slaughter Houses in America.

I might just consider going Vegetarian cause of this flash. I'll still eat wild caught fish cause it's far more humane than a slaughter house. But I think I'll stay away from Turkey this year.

Good Job.

(I hope Nintendo isn't pissed...then again...they might get a kick out of it.)

For a test game...it's REALLY DIFFICULT!

I beat both stages...

OMG I love the CHALLANGE!

Though I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't beat more monsters.

There are 2 bugs I've found..

The first enemy (red guy)
Once you push him far enough with your spin whip...he'll keep bouncing back and forth and run into your whip.

Sometimes when entering a new area...you'll fall down...this isn't a problem since you'll land back on the stage.

Improvements.

Rather than double tapping for a run...why not have the ability to run by holding a button while holding the arrow key?
_______

MAN I LOVE THE CHALLENGE!!!

Only 3 hits from Red Guy

Only 1 hit from Laser Skeleton!

But I beat them all and I feel really good about myself ^_^

I wish more games were this hard!

Keep the Hard Levels...but allow freedom in movement.

More maneuverability and speed...that'll help

OH...and add difficulty choices...

Some people will get purely frustrated.

And offer some reward for completing the game.

Not a "link" but maybe a new power-up!

HAHA DUDE 5 Vote!

Just in time for Tom's Baby!

Tom's Gotta Play This Game!

It's hilarious and weird...

Show this to Tom and I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it.

how?

To my surprise...I see a DS version

That's right! "Commando" has made it to the Nintendo DS. I saw a copy at Gamestop.

This must be the humble origins of the game.
And I gotta say...you've made some impressive improvements in comparison to the famous "Metal Slug" games.

It's quite obvious you were "inspired by it"

I love the fact that you don't DIE in one hit...
&
You can carry several weapons at once...

I didn't play the whole way though...but what made the Metal Slug games popular were the Vehicles and Mechs.

That's my ONLY gripe.

Is it possible to implement some form of machinery to be used in future titles?

AMAZING!

So this is what you've been working on this whole time....

The tutorial made understanding the game MUCH easier.

Especially when it was read out-loud to you.

I am very humbled by your great determination and dedication to making a Flash game...and your FIRST REAL game at that.

the First Mastermind Game was simple yet Ingenious!

This just shows your incredible Intelligence for coming up with such a concept.

Imagine:

This Game coming from the Man who created BLOCKHEAD!

LOL

Thank You Again!

This WAS AMAZING!

It capture the full Spirit of Madness and why it is Called So!

This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for after Hank was added to NG's Rumble.

A full GAME based off of MADNESS!

The Clown Boss was the Highlight of the Game!

Thank you for the Wonderful Flash
