A neat little tribute to the games of old

Though the programing seems rather quick and easy as I was easily finding glitches and such.

The art was cute for the characters but lacking in the background.

I would love to see this as more of a prototype of a future title, one that features neat little power ups, animation sequences, and if you want...keeping it true to the 8-bit style and music.

However, since this was for Game Jam and the time limit wasn't very long, this is not a bad game. But you should build up on this. I think it'll be an addictive little dungeon crawler.

Yes...indeed a Portal inspiration for the vocal

Gravity games have been done to death in the Flash gaming world.

But this one is by far the smoothest in gameplay and intriguing for story.

You probably copied a few moments in Super Mario Galaxy, but they never did it with such a ominous sense of danger.

Good Job.

*The controls still were a bit confusing because of the CONSTANT changes in gravity. If only you could somehow allow a logitech controller to be implemented with the game's program. A joystick would really make gameplay easier than using arrows on a computer in my opinion.

Not well structured and lacking direction

But very stylish and well presented in color and character design.

I can see how this game would fit the language barrier when uploaded in different countries.

But it still needs work.

Don't give up on this idea just yet, there are many ways to express a story without the use of dialogue.

But it's a little weak here because all you have to do is randomly click buttons.

There should be a system of logic that the player should follow as well as indication to what things you should click.

Study other Point & Click games and you'll benefit from being inspired from a few good titles.

Fun and Funny to play.

A great tribute to Ben.

He will be missed.

Catz waz funz, meowz haz goodz timez

clickyz clikyz hardz for doooz.

Notz enoughz spacez for accuratez firingz.

______

Okay enough of that.

This game has some solid game play except for the placement of the sling shot.

You need to give the player enough room to click in more accurate directions.

But that was the only draw back.

The rest of the game was fun and the enemies were funny to watch.

Though I think a few more variations in enemies would be cooler.

I am SO glad I didn't have to start over for defeating the Boss.

But it kinda made the power-ups kinda pointless as a result of the Bosses' immunity.

You could build further into this game.

Perhaps a more "Grid" like structure so that players can accurately place turrets and such.

And instead of the whole QWE, ASD format for loading cats.

Can't it be more like your piling cats into a container and firing them automatically from a cannon.

The ability to switch weapons would be a cool factor as well.

See...despite how original you were trying to be with the mechanics of this game, it's important for the player to be comfortable with the game controls.

But you can always amp the difficulty also.

This game is evil....but in a good way.

The Brother's Grim fairy tales have always been morbid.

For it's century of original publication....it was probably the equivalent of horror to them as this Flash is for us today.

It is creatively creepy, perfect for around this holiday around October.

Though a few bugs still remain, it hasn't stopped me from wanting to get every medal as possible.

I LOVE how you've HAND PAINTED practically every scene and character with water color.

The game pulls you in as if your playing an actual story book and not some cheesy flash game for kids on some TV station website.

The story amazingly tells itself with absolutely NO dialogue. That's quite a challenge. God watching the flashback of that poor woman....was SO COOL! And I normally don't like horror film moments but that was killer cool!

Creative use of items also enhance the enjoyment as do the characters....

Though I do not recall a "Tea Tree Goblin, Ice Witch, Fairies, or Mimic Men" from the original Hansel and Gretel, I do enjoy these horrific turns of events for our poor little heroine.

I especially love the morality choices you can make that often results in a gruesome death. But you got rid of Gretel's evil face after killer her brother in a variety of ways. Probably for the best. She need to portray her acts as innocent accidents of curiosity.

I REALLY hope you'll continue other forms of Brother's Grim tales with the same intensity of creepy art, story, and clever point and click puzzles.

There's a future in games like these that I am grateful that I can play for free for now on Newgrounds.

I hope you'll make games like these professionally with as much creative control as you shown today.

No restrictions for future titles. Go all out on the morbidity!

Seriously...we love it.

You can't squeeze Christian metaphors in Madness.

You just can't.....

But nice try though, and nice game.

It's a bit sloppy cause you can only do head-shots and not so challenging since you can't die.

I know the whole "hit level" reward. Not satisfying to me.

And I wish there was more of an epic boss fight. Like he would transform into more of a demon instead of pulling a dick move.

But it's a great tribute none the less.

Great work.

WooT - Intense Hydraulics!

Man those last stages were crazy in the inclines!

Great art, Great Music and a Great Game.

But a bit easy for hard-core strategic gamers even.

However will pose a challenge to newcomers of Madness.

EXCELLENT - Shadman's art!

Why oh WHY isn't Madness on X-Box download. I'll even settle for Wii.

Great Job - Tom and MindChamber

I got mixed feelings about this.

Surely it is the climatic ending everyone was hoping for. A showdown.

Would that be too typical?

I kinda wish things would unveil to me in an easy to understand series of flashbacks like with all detective stories.

But no....even the ending left me going...huh!?

The depth of mystery put into the game still leaves a conclusion to be deciphered by the game player. It's both good and bad in a sense. But damn it, my minds gonna be thinking about this version of wonderland for a while.

Then I leave it as...what the hell am I saying? This is Wonderland.

Nothing's really suppose to make allot of sense anyhow.

Falling fish? Experimental Cats? Toilet Nuts?

Don't think about it too hard folks. Just go with it.

The ending is what it is. And given the fact that this IS Wonderland, you should forgive it if it doesn't make sense to you the first time around...

Or the second time...

Or the third time...

Maybe after the fifth time, you should consider getting some therapy.

Cheers for the review man

Well...it was certainly better than the movie.

Because Tommy Wiseau is somewhat sociopathic...his movies tend to revolve himself in rolls he wish to be depicted in.

I mean...the movie was SO monotone that I basically had to force myself to watch it.

No offense to you and Johnny if your fans of the movie. But I just don't care for the movie.

The GAME HOWEVER...was a bit boring also, probably staying true to the movie.

But that EPIC RAGE TRIP! So much fun.

But that's only when you play it the FIRST time around.

Once you see the ending and realize this game has more depth and secrets.

You'll want to play it again - taking in more "spoonfuls" of details as well as striving for those little extras.

I busted a gut laughing when I saw the ending!

Truly there is a style and treat you're intending for the users who play this game and I'm glad it was well made.

It changes my perspective of the movie because it inspired this unique game.
