I mean no offense when I say this...

But please...take what I have to say with just a grain of salt...

But don't cha think that this displays an unusually unhealthy obsession with "Sonic the Hedgehog"?

I mean...you guys are average in your twenties and you keep making these flashes around a Kids Cartoon Character with foolish adolescent anecdotes. Sure the appeal is good for the younger audiences of Newgrounds, but....

I see the lack of creativity in these flashes in comparison to your animation skills.

It's like...what a waste of time and effort. Such Smooth Animation for mum-dame humor.

It's like...you possess true Flash Animation skills...but I all see from your homepages are "Sonic the Hedgehog"....why not something of your own design your own unique perceptive of art.

I mean...Sonic Games are cool...but these flashes make me kinda tired of Sonic.

Yeah yeah I know..."If You Don't Like It then Don't Watch It"

Okay...I won't

I just sometimes wish I DO want to watch it. But every time I do...it's like...

"Sigh"

"Again with this"

Beautiful

The whole idea of having the animation through a blip screen is an interesting touch.

But it allowed the animation to be obscure enough so that one could only see the general idea of love and making love without it being too graphic.

it's a really beautiful song.

d-z responds:

Glad you are pleased.

It did throw me off at times that a puzzle existed

during the heat of a crime scene.

But wasn't "Diabolical Box" kinda...weird? The ending at least. Though when Don Par appeared I had absolutely no idea.

---

I kinda agree with Coop83.

Make a short game based around the professor layton series, but make it all...CSI Las Vegas and stuff. All violent, drugs, sex.

But then...get thrown off with a dumb childish puzzle you can copy from a library book.

It'll be fuckin' hillarious!

backwardcompatible responds:

NO SPOILERS. I'm not done with Diabolical Box yet.

A Marvel of Cartoon Shenanigans

Never has there been anything so random, and fast-pace, so visually hilarious...

The sheer abnormality of behavior envisioned is a true masterpiece of kinetic comedy.

People say that cartoons will make you stupid...But it takes a genius to think of something this clever.

Will forever be a favorite in my life. I will show this animation to every friend and family I know.

----

What I would really like to see is a DVD of "DAD"...

REVAMPED...REANIMATED...PROFESSIONAL MEDIA.

And I would buy it off the NG store and treasure it forever.

Is this part of a british TV show or something?

Cause though it does look like it is being filmed and animated over your own couch...

It has a somewhat professional media feel to it. I can see this being part of a 5 minute daily grind on a Video Game channel.

Does the UK have a video game channel like here in the US ... G4TV? channel 437.

Cause if so...this little bit should be on the 'Tele'.

Cool

It has a very interesting style that is both morbid and modern.

A sort of Apocalypse Jazz club if you will...

--So this is what you and your husband were working on all these months--

I have to say...it seems like it was inspired by BlueBaby's flash game 'Gish'.

Much like how Tim Burton was inspired to make "9" from playing "Little Big Planet".

But oh well...Tar or Strings...it is still a great idea for a movie.

Dude...you won last year...

It's like you have a thing for these kinda of films...

I don't really know how to describe the mood, theme, or setting...

But I've seen plenty of 'modern' films in French very much like this.

It's like...you've somehow adapted Clocks to work perfectly with your modern theme of animation magic.

I really don't know what the theme is...but I have seen films very much like these before in France and England.

It must just be a culture thing...but I like it!

Still...I think flashbound18's flash should've won. It game me the most LOL's.

Cuz isn't that what clock is all about...those crazy voices and nonsensical plots?

Where as this film magically works with this theme of obscurity and art.

You might as well buy "StrawberryClock" NG user for ownership of the idea.

Nothing gets done unless you start...

...Even if it means one brick at a time.

A worth while message to those feeling a bit unmotivated about their lives.

An awesome piece of work.

(the animation could be just a bit more lively)

CircusFreakFlash responds:

Lol. nothing gets done unless you draw it a brick at a time. Thats what i kept telling myself while i was drawing... and drawing... and drawing... all of those buildings :P

Quite an artistic achievement...

It's very detailed.

To all you peeps out there...this is what is know as a "masking-based animation"

Meaning that the characters are outline free and filled only with color. A style invented in Japan during the early 20th century. It's soul purpose was it was to add visual effect.

You may have seen it used in "Samurai-Jack".

Now...as for this flash...I have to admit the animation was quite dynamic, detailed, and dramatic.

Such is a unique character like "Cripple Kane".

But...somehow I think he would be cooler if his peg leg attachment also doubled as a gun. Or even his whole spare leg could transform into a rifle.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

Good Job Hans...Good Job.

AlmightyHans responds:

thanks for the positive review.

Now people will remember Doug...

Boy...Doug...now there was a somewhat popular show that no one remembers.

Like...the show wasn't great but Nickelodeon had allot of money back then to create a few season where it was sold to Disney and barely lasted one month.

And now we see this idea of you making risque comments to a cartoon character, and Doug failing to save her.

Not too many Doug fan flashes out there...if ANY.

So this is sort of a big deal....in a small sense.
