Daleks are little organisms incased in mechanic armour.
They hate everything that isn't dalek, it's basically like the nazi's..

The great time war was between the Time Lords and the Daleks... I think the doctor stopped it all by incasing it all inside some sort of bubble where time has stopped/ceased to exist. That's why he is the last time lord (kind of)

Being the last of his kind, he gets lonely, so he travels with companions... He's been in love a few times. Rose really meant a lot to him.

That's the problem with regeneration... It's basically dying, everything about the previous person is lost, apart from memories of course.

I must watch also, there must be something really good about the series if its been on for so long.

Same thing happend with me and the LOST. I herd about it for years and dint know what it was ...watched it. Best tv series ever
