Visions of another world? They call it escapism, but what is it really? Glimpses into what our souls truly yearn for. A world in which we exist and bask in each others imaginations. Or is that the dream of a dreamer. The wish of an artist. But why would the eventual evolution of the mind be ingrained in us now?
I'm getting off topic, lol. I feel the same about art, and I used to think of art as more of a futile thing. What purpose, significantly, does it serve. ..It is us, I think. We are the colors we put on paper. The animations of observations we've absorbed. The words, the camera angle. Art is us, it is getting 'us' across. And as you said, there's something about that empathetic intake of expression.

I know that feeling. It's as if there's a something in me saying that there is something far more important for me to be doing. Like figuring out my existence.
