Well I don't think it's getting cancelled, right? It's just ending. A proper ending.
That dog episode was so sad I didn't know what to do with myself the first time I saw it. I think I just stared into a dark corner for a couple hours.

It is technically cancelled. The same as it was for Fox. The Comedy Central network just hasn't bought another season. Not necessarily for reasons given the nature of the show like Fox, but because of economy primarily.
David X said that Comedy Central will gauge the fan's reactions. And if enough merchandise is sold, it could be renewed again.
But if it DOES get renewed. A canon Simpsons Futurama crossover will happen.
Jurassic Bark was a masterpiece of an episode.

I just talked to the pep's at WeLoveFine.
All they technically need is the merchandising license from Futurama and they can allow fans to publish and sell their work.
Thus effectively funding Futurama and a possible renewal.
But they need to get the license first.
