Posted by JakBaronKing - December 21st, 2009

Five beeg fat peeg (that make TWENNY!),

An' one mynah bird in one papaya tree.

_______________

The Ukulele was originally brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese when they sailed to Hawaii during the 19th century. There, they introduced the natives to a lute - or a small guitar - and a few generations later, the Ukulele was developed from adapting the look of a guitar.

The word "Ukulele" literally translate as "Jumping Fleas" because of the motion of picking the strings rather than strumming while playing.

The Ukulele is now the most convenient form of musical instrument for those who still enjoy the acoustic feel.

The best Ukuleles are made from Koa Wood and it's value because of history, craft, and condition could range in the Thousands of Dollars.

Still considered the quickest fingers on the island - Jake Shimabukuro is the fastest Ukulele artist.
