Okay, so basically this is a tropical fruit that only exists in Polynesian islands such as Hawaii and Philippines.
It was believed that these fruits were the chosen few to be imported from distant lands of native Hawaiians.
They only grow twice a year and their numbers are very few.
Few growers who own one tree would seldom share or sell these fruits.
But some growers managed to collect and grow at least a dozen trees - yielding a decent profit when it comes to harvest them.
But the growers aren't greedy - and often sell them for cheep.
I ended up buying 4 pounds of them.
The only way I can describe their flavor...is like biting into a soft sweet watery fruit filled with a light fragrance of rose.
They....are delicious!
And I'll only enjoy them for a short time.
