There really isn't any better way to describe the warm feeling of family.

Everyone was so supportive and loving. Granted my previous year was pretty bad. This totally makes up for it.

All my favorite cousins were there and we played video-games, and bingo, and sang songs.

There were TONS of gifts. Nothing really expensive, just chocolates and practical stuff.

We do this thing called "White Elephant" where don't buy gifts specifically for anyone. But we buy practical things everyone could use.

We ate SO SO MUCH. Everyone brought something tasty. Now in Hawaii it's sorta schmorgesborg of anything. So you can eat Lasagna with Sushi if you want.

*I cheated and used a premix but it's essentially the same thing as making it from scratch. Now I don't mean I crack open a coconut, I just buy one can of coconut milk.

Everyone enjoyed it.

For such a sucky year, this was a real turn about of happiness. But I wasn't too bummed about how the year has gone. It's just that I wasn't necessarily happiest I could be.
