Feeling Good!

Posted by JakBaronKing - January 28th, 2014

Nothing says like the feeling of enebriation along with Nujabes! RIP his peaceful soul.

BTW-I drink Guinness. I've tried many others beers by so far Guinness is still my favorite!

Just chillin'. Workin' and Chillin'.

Started a garden. Growing some nice veggies. Got a knack for growing stuff.

Maybe I'll try to get a Cannabis Growing licence.

Feeling at peace with the Earth and my Soul.

Feelin' Good.

Good music indeed, smooth and full of wisdom if you listen to it... from an artist previously unknown to me. May he RIP!

What types of veggies?

I've been trying to do things old school.
Growing from the fruit I collect and extracting the seeds.
A valuable skill that anyone should know.

Agriculture is the reason why society and humanity thrived.

I've been successful at growing Avacado, Dragon Fruit, Tomattoes, Basil, Onions, Eggplant, BitterMelon, Watermelon, and Kale.

If you have a yard, try gardening. It's so relaxing and soulfully refreshing.

Out of the ones you mention we've only managed to grow Kale and Tomatoes, the latter in a greenhouse. Climates a bit too cold for the others... it sounds exotic! I'd love to grow Avocado especially... how do those seeds work, are there any duds? Do they all grow?

We do gardening every summer, dig up a plot and plant potatoes (that's the biggest part), a few different types of salad, kale, chives, leek, spinach, carrots, a few types of Swedish turnip (hope Google Translate is doing this right!), dill and parsley, and we have a small greenhouse for tomatoes, cucumbers, paprika and occasionally some herbs. Plenty of herbs grow wild though, like dandylion, yarrow/milfoil (unsure of translation), lady's mantle, sorrel, etc.

Old school is the best school indeed, though most of the plants we have don't last long enough to get seeds, summer's too short in Northern Scandinavia. I gotta disagree with that relaxing thing though, gardening is the most monotone and stressful labor you can have. :) It's when it's all done that you get some real satisfaction, and way tastier products than you can buy!

I've heard that most Scandinavian countries are still adeptly trained in the ways of farming.

Cause agriculture is probably the most important skill to learn for the development of the human species.

I'm still an amateur at gardening. Sounds like you're skills are WAY ahead of mine.

But plants are plants. The most important factor is feeding the soil.

I saw a video of a guy in Alaska who grew veggies nearly 20lbs average.

He uses a compost tea method.

I hope so, though IT's probably taking over everywhere. We need to stick to our roots, making food's the most important set of skills when hunting's no longer a possibility for everyone.

Haha, I doubt I'm that far ahead, but if I am it's all thanks to the family, I just wish my parents could've also put me in a martial arts class when I was five. :) I could've been like Jackie Chan by now!

That's some serious growth! We have sandy soil that dries up easily so requires a lot of watering, but on the bright side it's easy for plants to get hold... but on the downside that applies to weeds as well... but on the bright side it's easy to weed when the soil is porous. We use cut grass as nourishment, there's never enough, but it's great, keeps the plants warm and the ground humid in addition to that soilfeeding aspect.

How about those Avocados though? Do they all grow? Or maybe they haven't started yet?
