Monkey Fecal Weaponry: Instinctive Defense

I recognize a variety of primate parodies except for Donkey Kong.

This is easily summarized with a single phrase.

"That's some funny shit!"

And that's why you never aim your guns in the air.

In a sense, this can work as a satire analogy.

Like...people rather be happy for themselves in the moment rather than for the benefit of the world for all of future history.

ToonHole responds:

Dunno why this gag came to me, but you made your reasoning sound really smart. I'ma steal it : )

HAHAHA!

Oh God this makes me laugh.

This is the first time I've EVER seen an Octopus Pelt.

I mean..that doesn't even seem remotely sanitary!

But what I would suggest is to stick to armor that fits his theme.

He could have hammers made from coral and armor made from sea-shells.

His loincloth could be made from sea-weed.

He might even look good with some Polynesian style Tattoos.

jouste responds:

glad you got a kick out of him!

actually i kind of wanted dogsword to be really worldy and get his stuff from all over the place.

but man, I LOVE polynesian tattoos, i love how the different items represent things and they look so amazing. thanks for the comment!

As cool as this drawing is...

I'm seeing a directional flaw.

The guy was obviously shot, but that doesn't mean he barfs up blood.

I think you need to accentuate the image of the sherif's wound.
-Was he shot in the face? Or the chest?
-And with a caliber of those guns, it would leave a hole in either one.

How cool would it look if his lower face was blasted clean off but the eyes still convey emotions of shock and pain! Teeth flying and the jaw hanging by a sinew.

It's a technical flaw but the rest is mighty wicked.

A "Steam" golem...interesting.

I would imagine that something small and good with mechanics is actually inside controlling the huge beast.

Maybe it's a whole mini-army of furry imps that controls the mechanical suit.

jouste responds:

haha that would be pretty cool, i think in the comics its just this guy though.

thanks for the highscore pal!

Wow. (0_0)

It's very....compelling.

It's horrific! Like...looking at a damned soul.

It's strong! It reveals how much intensity it has!

....

It's beautifully ugly.

I dunno...I don't see how this works.

I mean...if that thing can crawl on it's own, then he'd be facing backwards.

And how does the scorpion sting if the guy's head is stinger? The head-but won't really work on enemies his own size. It's too long.

I know he's your favorite character and you've redesigned him accordingly.

I just don't see how this villain functions properly.

---

Now...if you wan't MY opinion.

Somehow he needs to be more like a transformer.

The scorpion should be like body armor...wrapping around his back.

The main claws covering his forearms and the small legs acting gripping around this torso.

The tail could cover his groin.

Then he can instantly switch into scorpion mode by laying flat. It acts as a means of defense when he's surrounded by enemies and he can dig his way underground to escape an ambush.

jouste responds:

that is a pretty sweet redesign, i was kinda just going for laughs on mine haha.

Awesome! he dips his swords in demon phlem!

Though, I can't imagine him gettin anywhere fast with that creature.

Though, given his lethargic nature, I doubt the beast tamer really cares how long the trip takes...just as long as he doesn't have to walk :P

Is the riding beast have a huge nose? Or beady eyes?

Cause if it was huge nostrils...then it would be funny if the beast was encouraged to crawl by a having a chicken leg tethered to a stick and rope.

jouste responds:

haha yeah those are big nostrils. a chicken would be pretty tempting for a quardopus, but i think that grudd can coax the beast into locomotion without chicken tricks!

thanks for the review!

Hmm..this one's just a 'little' offensive.

See, here's the thing. I get you like to use Sumo Wrestlers as a fat joke plot device. But, culturally they are viewed with much higher respect. Seriously, I met one, you DO NOT want to mess with one. They are like...indomitable.

I would avoid using too many plot devices that poke fun at a particular culture.
But you are free to publish anything you want.

Just understand there 'are' consequences to well....everything. It doesn't matter what your intentions were or not, publishing anything will always gauge a reaction.

But I just hope you're not 'intentionally' poking fun at sumo-werestleres.

If you want my opinion, I think you should focus getting 'eaten by rats', a demise best reserved towards a general fat person as a message 'against' being overweight through gluttony. Like...that's the karma of purposefully ignoring one's health and indulging in being overweight.

I know my 'father' would take offense to this as it appears to him that you are attacking Japanese. Although, he gets offended very easily.

You get what I'm saying right?

Leave humorous racial discrimination out of your comics. No matter how minuscule it seems. It's just a suggestion.

ToonHole responds:

I totally get where you're coming from. Although this isn't intended to be racist and I have the highest respect for all cultures, for the context of the joke we made the person a sumo wrestler purely on the superficial fact of their size. In reality, sumo are agile and strong fighters. But that's the humor of this comic: it's absurdity. Thanks for sharing your opinions : )

You might be able to publish this...

Through Hans Van Harken's publication studio.

However it does need more work. You can't be sloppy on purpose all the time. It does needs structure and 'some' coloring wouldn't hurt.

I love how you blatantly make fun of anime. REALLY play on those stupid and often miss-used words 'kawaii'. IT...makes me laugh.
