Very rarely do people continue art...

Using REAL art tools.

This is quite remarkable!

I dare say you should consider yourself more than competent with oil paints. *You still have to sound humble ;)

I especially like your clouds. I like clouds. And I don't know who this Marina Primera is. But using the clouds to express ecstasy is an excellent way to express the title.

At the point of glory you really feel like your flying don't you?

Sevens responds:

thank you,
I totally enjoy using old techniques and what has been given to me,
Clouds are awesome, always moving and shifting not knowing what it will be-
you totally know what I felt when I painted this.
Do I feel like I am flying? yeah... lol.

This is the best thing you've made this year.

Though early in 2011, and without the use of a Wacom Tablet; this shows extreme promise in the graphic arts community.

The scotch tape look is noticeable but it doesn't interfere with the whole art piece.

It doesn't act as a distraction but rather as a compliment.

If I could offer any advice, I would suggest making another one but continuing this motif of art-&-crafts. Adding small images of glue, sparkles, and white paper laces would be little subtle extras that might compliment this. Compare and see if it looks any better. Just to experiment with it.

PixelCake responds:

I still have my tablet :B Duct tape made it work, believe it or not.
Thank you!

You need to enter in Luis' Mummy contest

Go ask Luis. He tend to hold these nifty little contests.

You would do well on it.

davestudio responds:

where? how?

Better than the Flash "Stick" product

The one where they actually put a flash stick inside of a wooden stick?

Now this is a cool idea because the idea of killing a zombie is to decapitate his head.

So you naturally do this with a flash drive.

Too bad if you lose the head.

Mayhaps you should have a pink stripped string attached and call it the spinal cord.

davestudio responds:

spinal cord loll good idea!!
and yup...painted flash drive, that's it!
Thanks for voting + comment :)

I got some ideas...

The Cat should be called "Shamus"
The Dog should be called "Shawn"
The Rabbit should be called "Shelly"

I like this. It should be a children's book about three starving musicians. Playing hard to earn some money for food.

Its a pickled lemon!

You wanna know what sucks? That sometimes people hire artists "just for ideas".

You should ask for "some payment" in advance.

This is wicked cool. What's really amazing is that you didn't use any inverting techniques. This must've been quite a challenge doing by hand.

Bob's Burger is full of shenanigans.

You need to draw her hand in her crotch. Cause she still has the rash remember?

LazyMuffin responds:

It's cured, now it just smells like bacon.

I get it.

A content face hides a depressed heart.

Obviously there could be a number of explanations of the inspiration of this. But leaving it ambiguous just a 'big' arrogant in my opinion.

An explanation of your art piece is really appreciated if you can explain it. I do know allot of artists love to remain subtle in their voice and art and that's respectable or sometimes they draw without really knowing their sense of direction. They are simply spontaneous - which is also a wonderful trait as an artist.

I gotta say, this art portrait speaks out to me this way....

"Through the gentle eyes of innocence, distraught looms in the deepest heart of the soul. And though it is concealed as a facade of strength, the wounds will never heal unless the truth is revealed and resolved."

It's beautiful - Simply Beautiful

But...I can't help feel this is a reflection of yourself.

Francesca da Rimini aka "The Kiss"

Dude, this is okay in my book.

Acrylic paint yeah!

But I will admit it's just a bit simplistic for my taste. A bit of a modern take off an old Roman Classic.

It's not in your face masterpiece, but I think it's the subtlety that's appreciated.

I respect this man. I really do.

Gaz-Metal responds:

Thanks for the comment dude!

I enjoy images that convey peace.

Although I do believe this idea was expressed in a children's book.

But I cannot recall the name.

krissalus responds:

It's probably not an uncommon idea. I feel like kids occur a lot in peace promotions. Odds are, someone put children next to a tank that's been out of commission for a while before I did :P If you ever remember the name of that book, please let me know. I'd be interested in seeing it.
