It's a perfect version of Pong that I like....tons of powerups...lot's of options...and great gameplay.
Some more creative ideas and it would make a great game for the DS or even the Wii.
Old Games can be remade into cooler masterpieces.

of the game....all it needs is some fine tuning and you'll make the front page for sure! maybe even portal award of the week!

but with some fine tuning this could win Portal Award of the Week!
My only irk is that it's fairly difficult to aim with the arrow buttons....a mouse would probably be better.
Getting Upgrades can take some time and isn't quite balanced with the points you get for killing goblins.
The power-ups all look the same...it's never quite determined with circle reefers to which power-up.
But not a bad game!
VERY GOOD
Just that Jumping over Spikes can be a little glitchy...I had trouble getting past the first stage because the distance was way to far...you would have to time it "JUST" right.
But I'm impressed that soooo many origional ideas end up on Newgrounds...
You should get this idea copyrighted and get an attorney's agreement and present your idea to Nintendo....I feel this would be a smash puzzle for the Nintendo DS.

A good concept
my only irritation is that upgrading takes a rather long time and beginners game play is way too easy.
I was beginning to wonder when I'll be able to purchase the cooler upgrades.
I love the island music though...I give it a 3/5 and a 7 for the review.
not bad
a little choppy here an there but a good concept adding explosive stage blocks...it really keeps you on your toes and makes your plat-forming skill surge to the max.
All this needs is a bit more of a touch up. Moving the character from place to place can sometimes allow him higher jumps than he should...and ladders don't allow me to walk on them... :P
GOOD CONCEPT Thats the most important part.

then consider every kind of powerup.
Remember back to Glatica Games on Atari..or Space Invaders.
Lazers...homing missiles...fire balls....etc.
