Cool

It has a very interesting style that is both morbid and modern.

A sort of Apocalypse Jazz club if you will...

--So this is what you and your husband were working on all these months--

I have to say...it seems like it was inspired by BlueBaby's flash game 'Gish'.

Much like how Tim Burton was inspired to make "9" from playing "Little Big Planet".

But oh well...Tar or Strings...it is still a great idea for a movie.

Dude...you won last year...

It's like you have a thing for these kinda of films...

I don't really know how to describe the mood, theme, or setting...

But I've seen plenty of 'modern' films in French very much like this.

It's like...you've somehow adapted Clocks to work perfectly with your modern theme of animation magic.

I really don't know what the theme is...but I have seen films very much like these before in France and England.

It must just be a culture thing...but I like it!

Still...I think flashbound18's flash should've won. It game me the most LOL's.

Cuz isn't that what clock is all about...those crazy voices and nonsensical plots?

Where as this film magically works with this theme of obscurity and art.

You might as well buy "StrawberryClock" NG user for ownership of the idea.

Nothing gets done unless you start...

...Even if it means one brick at a time.

A worth while message to those feeling a bit unmotivated about their lives.

An awesome piece of work.

(the animation could be just a bit more lively)

CircusFreakFlash responds:

Lol. nothing gets done unless you draw it a brick at a time. Thats what i kept telling myself while i was drawing... and drawing... and drawing... all of those buildings :P

Quite an artistic achievement...

It's very detailed.

To all you peeps out there...this is what is know as a "masking-based animation"

Meaning that the characters are outline free and filled only with color. A style invented in Japan during the early 20th century. It's soul purpose was it was to add visual effect.

You may have seen it used in "Samurai-Jack".

Now...as for this flash...I have to admit the animation was quite dynamic, detailed, and dramatic.

Such is a unique character like "Cripple Kane".

But...somehow I think he would be cooler if his peg leg attachment also doubled as a gun. Or even his whole spare leg could transform into a rifle.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

Good Job Hans...Good Job.

AlmightyHans responds:

thanks for the positive review.

Now people will remember Doug...

Boy...Doug...now there was a somewhat popular show that no one remembers.

Like...the show wasn't great but Nickelodeon had allot of money back then to create a few season where it was sold to Disney and barely lasted one month.

And now we see this idea of you making risque comments to a cartoon character, and Doug failing to save her.

Not too many Doug fan flashes out there...if ANY.

So this is sort of a big deal....in a small sense.

Your animation was smooth...

But I'm not impressed with your over all envision of how the music video was put together.

Not many people can envision a perfect slew of images when listening to music.

While many people agree your synchronization is on que with the voices. I honestly feel that the images were not strong enough for the music video.

Then again...the song wasn't all the great either.

Your animation skills are definite and excellent. But I feel your animation style is best focused on making a cartoon series.

I somehow feel you struggled trying to make this a GREAT music video...and instead turned out to be an 'okay' music video.

You make GREAT cartoons, GREAT characters, GREAT stories...

not so great music videos.

It has a very Mark "Thurop" Van Orman feel to it.

Mark "Thurop" Van Orman is the creator and writer of "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flap-Jack".

The over all concept of a naive and childish character paired with a serious and seasoned character, as well as some of the humor displayed has a very similar feel to the cartoon show. But not too much...as the main focus of the show is intended to be cute and cuddly rather than down right ridiculous as seen in FlapJack.

It's appeal would best be fit for younger audiences, but with enough sprucing up and some violence here and there, it could very well appeal to older teens.

But...then again...it's good just the way it is...

jaxxy responds:

Thank you! It is actually intended for children, but I know newgrounders expect violence in most cartoons here. I'm glad a few people are willing to accept something different...even though teh character duo is old hat.

To put it plain and simple...

"You are the Miyazaki of Mexico"

I was so sure you've ended it

This is a nice way to show hope for our hopeless characters that is the...

"This is..." Series.

I was rather touched by the sheer honesty displayed in this humorous cartoon.

It was nice to observe the life of these characters you've created.

Somehow I feel that it's over now...but I hope not.

This cartoon series makes me feel really conscious about life and people.

AH- HAHA -NOW fred is REALLY dead.

LOL

Fred is a bit over-rated so this is a refreshing image to instill some classic slander humor.

It was also very funny using the theme music from Metal Slug - as if you had to struggle to defeat the final boss.

Very Funny
